She Kicks It Recap: Celebrating Women, Sneakers & Style

SAN ANTONIO, TX - Friday, May 9th, our team intentional curated our san Antonio location with the event, She Kicks It—a women-led event dedicated to sneaker lovers, custom creativity, and community connection. From custom Air Force 1s to drinks at the bar, this wasn’t just a shopping experience and passed the vibe check.

A Full-Day Celebration of Women in Sneaker Culture

This event was designed to spotlight and celebrate women who move the culture forward. We saw guests pull up in their best kicks, ready to get creative. Attendees chose between all-white or all-black AF1s and worked directly with the Kicking It team to bring their personal style to life through custom designs.

What Went Down:

• Custom Sneaker Experience: Our all-female design crew led one-on-one customization sessions. No two kicks looked alike—and that’s the point.

• DJ + Drinks + Good Eats: Guests enjoyed a complimentary drink from our full-service bar, vibed to in-store DJ sets, and recharged with lite bites while browsing the store.

• Photo Moments: You know we had to bring the visuals. With curated photo ops set up throughout the store, the ladies captured every detail—from their sneakers to their smiles.

Why It Matters

Events like She Kicks It are part of a larger movement at Kicking It to create space for everyone in sneaker culture—especially the women. This Mother’s Day activation was a reminder that women aren’t just buying sneakers, they’re designing them, styling them, and rewriting the playbook.
