The power of brand-retailer partnerships expands as Kicking It welcomes Reebok with the May 2026 release of The Ice Cream x Reebok Board Flip “Pink Lemonade” and “Watermelon”.

Originally launched in 2005, the Board Flip emerged as one of the earliest footwear expressions from Pharrell Williams and NIGO, quickly establishing itself as a standout within mid-2000s skate culture. The shoe became known for its playful, confection-inspired colorways—featuring names like Banana Split, Cotton Candy, and Watermelon.

Pharrell Williams and Adidas have been working together for a dozen years, but another decade prior, the musician and designer was working with Reebok by way of Ice Cream, the sublabel of Billionaire Boys Club he founded with Nigo. Three sneaker models were released during that original run, and the most well-regarded of them will soon make a comeback.

The Ice Cream x Reebok Board Flip “Pink Lemonade” and “Watermelon” will revive the 2005 skate shoe through a wide release following a much more limited launch last year. The chunky model features a T-toe overlay, fat tongue, striped midsole, the brand’s “Cones and Bones” logo on the lateral heel and repeating “Ice Cream” marks on the mustache and tongue.

For the “Pink Lemonade” edition, a perforated leather base is overlaid with a suede eyestay, texturized rubber T-toe and leather tongue all in red. Burgundy leather is then applied to the heel counter, while yellow pops on the lining and a pink stripe runs partially through the red sole unit.

“Watermelon” goes heavier on suede with a perforated green base, pink eyestay and green heel counter. Texturized rubber is used again on the T-toe, and the midsole is split with a white section with pink stripe and gum.

The Board Flip was followed up with Board Flip 2 in 2007, and that would be the end of the collaborative sneakers until they reunited again in 2019. Now, here we are in 2026.

The Ice Cream x Reebok Board Flip's return builds on renewed demand following its reintroduction at ComplexCon 2025, reaffirming its place at the intersection of skate, culture, and footwear.

Watermelon returns as a direct nod to the archive. Pink Lemonade extends the story forward, introducing a new expression without compromising the original design language.
