Air Jordan 3 Retro “Neapolitan” Release Recap

With this release we wanted to continue to collaborate with members of our community and separate ourselves from other stores in the area that receive similar product. When brainstorming on ways we could perform that, we instantly thought of reaching out to the Museum of Ice Cream who is around the corner from our store. 

With this sneaker having an ice cream theme it was a no brainer to collaborate with them. With this sneaker being a women’s release, we wanted to make sure we took care of our Women of the sneaker game. For releases in the past, we offered a regular line up or raffle, but we couldn’t think of a more unique event then a “Ladies Night Ice Cream Social”. 

This allowed us collaborate with local entities like the Museum of Ice Cream and one of our Entrepreneur’s Corner standouts The Gr8 DeBake. After a couple of email exchanges between Annie, the general manager of the Museum of Ice Cream, they were on board and offered to sponsor the event for us. They provided vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate ice cream, spoons and cups for the event, along with some free admission coupons to the Museum of Ice Cream. Through the power of community building, conversation with Gerald and Stephanie of Gr8 DeBake let us know they offered a Neapolitan pound cake and would love to offer two cakes for the event.

On the day of the event, as it drew closer to 4 PM the level of excitement and anticipation grew higher. By 3:30 PM we had twenty customers in the store sitting down in the front of the store and the bar area.

After an hour of passing out raffle tickets and refreshments, we began raffling off our available pairs. 

We look forward to raising the bar on our events and offering unique opportunities for our community to cop the latest and greatest from Jordan Brand.
